Introducing of the Hunting Association of Sandorfalva
The hunting association was found in the nearly 1950s, as Francis Rose Hunting Association of Sandorfalva. At that time, the chief target was: members’ entertainment. In the hunting association’s area was characterized by large hunt density, but despite of that, they didn’t deal with guided hunting because of the politival relations.
The end of the 1960s was brought a large change in the life of the hunting association. It name was changed to New Life Hunting Association in Sandorfalva, and the borderline also changed. The new border consisted until the modification of the hunting law in 1997. The hunting association bounded by these towns: Dóc, Balástya, Forráskút, Zsombó, Szatymaz, Sandorfalva, and from the east side the Tisza. The area of the hunting association was about 16 000 hectares.
The association's life was characterized by high level of solidarity and many voluntary social works.
In the early seventies, the association was built (in social work) the hunting house and the pheasant rearing ranch in the forest of Sandorfalva. The foreign guided hunting for roebuck and small hunt (pheasant, rabbit) was increasingly start up. In that time, mostly German and Austrian hunters came to us, and there were haunters of them who were amazed by the beauty of the land and the large hunt density.
In the early eighties, the reduction in headcount (which was observed in the whole country) doesn’t escape this region, and it was perceptible also in the management and in the hunting.
This period’s last economical investment was the purchase of the „Szirti Scool” for hunting house. This scool was bleong to Szatymaz.
The last name change in the life of the association was in 1992. With a general meeting decree, the name of the association changed to Hunting Association of Sandorfalva.
The modification of the hunting law, in 1997, causes a big change in the life of the association. The area shrinked into 10 000 hectares, because the association lost it’s areas, which were stand in the east side from the M5 driveway. So the invariably membership (which contains 69 members) has had to farming and hunting in this smaller area.
The main hunted hunt species: deer, wild-boar, pheasant, wild duck, wild-goose, and skin-dealer and winged pests.
The changed conditions stimulated the membership for choose a management which can show results in this difficult situation too. It succeeded so well, that the results checked in the first times. The result of the changed economic situations and the better management of hunts, the number of brutes reduced significantly, the useful hunt stock started up to reproduction, and the guided hunting doesn’t causes problems now.
The association rent more areas since 1988, where it is raising wild-duck, and sells to foreign and internal guided hunters. Besides the foreign guided hunting, this activity means a new hunting opportunity.
The economic progress doesn’t indicated better by renting big lands. Additionally, the reconditioning of the hunting house („Szirti School”) also started with high power. The roof was completely replaced, and the interior renovation of the house was started. As a first step, the classroom’s total reconstruction was completed. Now, the making of the house more convenient is in progress. In context of that activity, the replacing of the equipment has done.
In 2001 the association brought another a hunting house with a large land, so they have to make an own fishpond, so thereby the wild-duck raising and outputting taking place in the association’s own area.
In 2007, the useful area reduced to 4200 hectares, so the guided hunting is limited to deer and wild-duck hunting. But besides that, of course, there is opportunity to hunting rabbit and phaesant in a smaller amount.
In 2012, after the elections, the renewed and rejuvenated management threw himself into the work with happily. The management tried to jump the membership much more; and they wanted to participating in hunting and social events whenever it’s possible.
In the narrowed area, the membership tris to increase the opportunities of hunting by building feeders and high-stands. They are building these in social work with good atmosphere.
The plant of the association exceed all previous levels. They have two, closed, pasenger trailer, a tractor, a refrigerator car for cooling the shot hunt, a motorboat for water hunting, and a mower.
Besides the economic boom, we can see that the membership is more cohesive. They undertaking voluntary works again, because they see that it makes sense. After huntings, the members discuss the events of the day.
The Hunting Association of Sandorfalva is a non-profit organization, which is recycling their incomes into the life of the association, and into the development of the habitat.
The association is buying up hundred tons of forage from the vicinal farmers. The association ensures the winter feeding needs with this.
The association allocates a several hundred thousand hungarian forint to the local goverment. The loacal gorvernment use that money for cleansing the dirt-roads. The association – according to its possibilities - support other organizations and events too.
In 2011, our association could organized the Hunting Days of Csongrad , together the Council of Sandorfalva. The event has had great sucess.
The Hunting Association of Sandorfalva’s life was marked by large cohesion, discipline and many voluntary works. These marking our life now, too. We are cleaning the woods, roads and the environment in our area in the frameworks of garbage collection days, which has organized by Council of Sandorfalva.
